Email Preferences

ApprovIQ lets you control how and when you receive email communications. All preferences can be managed from the Settings page.

Accessing Email Settings​

  1. Click your name or avatar in the top-right corner
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Find the Email Preferences section

Available Settings​

Email Notifications​

Default: Enabled

Toggle real-time email notifications on or off. When enabled, you receive consolidated notification emails when activity occurs on your projects (document uploads, status changes, comments, etc.).

Notifications use intelligent debouncing — activity within a 10-minute window is grouped into a single email.

Email Digests​

Default: Enabled

Toggle daily digest emails on or off. When enabled, you receive a daily summary of all project activity at your preferred time.

Timezone​

Default: Australia/Sydney

Your timezone is used to schedule daily digest delivery. Select the IANA timezone that matches your location (e.g., "Australia/Sydney", "Australia/Melbourne", "Pacific/Auckland").

Digest Hour​

Default: 9 AM

Choose what hour you would like to receive your daily digest email. The time is interpreted in your configured timezone.

Saving Changes​

All email preference changes are saved automatically when you update a setting. There is no save button — changes take effect immediately.

How Preferences Affect Emails​

Tips​

  1. Keep notifications on — they are already debounced to prevent overload
  2. Set your correct timezone — ensures digests arrive when you expect them
  3. Choose a morning digest time — start your day with a project activity summary
  4. Disable digests if you prefer real-time — real-time notifications may be sufficient if you are active on the platform daily
